The Main Research Areas at the Department of Strength of Materials and Engineering Science:

  • development of analytical and numerical methods of structural analysis;
  • research of stress-strain state of structurally non-uniform constructional systems under the effect of power and temperature factors;
  • applied and refined theory development;
  • analysis of the construction in the form of single-layer or multilayer composite plates and shells;
  • transport facilities calculations – bridge, road and airfield pavements;
  • methods of metal structures calculations of road constructions, lifting and transport vehicles;
  • stress-strain state analysis of heavy-duty cranes, trailers for transportation of maxi-shuttle construction machinery;
  • stress-strain behaviour analysis of different spacecraft aerials shells.
