The Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law was founded on January 8, 2003 by order №1 of National Transport University on the basis of Jurisprudence Department that has been working since July 3, 2001.

The department provides training in the first higher education level (Bachelor’s degree) in 081 “Law” specialty and the second higher education level (Master’s degree) in 081 “Law” (full-time and part-time studies).

The Main Research Areas at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law:

 

  • development of constitutional and administrative law in Ukraine in the period of public relations democratization;
  • implementation and protection of human and civil rights in the field of executive power activity;
  • administrative proceedings in courts and their structure;
  • administrative liability institution reforming.

 

On the basis of the Faculty of Economics and Law there is a legal clinic, which is the base for acquiring practical experience and raising the level of knowledge of students of the “Law” specialty. The curators of the legal clinic are lecturers at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law (tel. 280-90-95, e-mail: lawclinicntu@ukr.net; site of the legal clinic (online consultation) – http: //lawclinicntu.wix.com/university-landing-p) Students are actively engaged in scientific activities. They take part in the Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Jurisprudence, international scientific-practical workshops, educational activities, cooperate with other legal clinics.

The department concluded a memorandum of cooperation between the Main Department of Justice in Kyiv, the Coordinating Council for Young Lawyers in Kyiv under the Main Territorial Administration of Justice in Kyiv and National Transport University
