Georgii Semenovych Prokudin – the Head of the Department of International Transportation and Customs Control , Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Transport Academy of Ukraine, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Economic Cybernetics, “Excellence in Education of Ukraine” award, as well as Diploma of Honor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Honorable Badge of Distinction of the ASMAP UA, the author of more than 450 scientific and educational works, including 3 monograph, 5 textbooks, 33 certificates of the copyright registry. Under his leadership 7 candidates of technical sciences and 1 doctor defended successfully their theses.
He is the chairman of the specialized scientific council D 26.059.03 as well as a member of the specialized scientific council D 26.059.02 for the defense of candidate and doctoral theses at the NTU, a member of the expert council for conducting the examination of the scientific research works section 13 “Aviation and space technology and transport” of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES), is a member of the specialized scientific-technical council of the MES for the selection of scientific works, scientific and technical and infrastructure projects, which are financed at the expense of the EU external assistance tool for the fulfillment of Ukraine’s obligations in the EU Framework Program for scientific research and innovation “Horizon 2020”.
The Department was founded in 2011 by decision №. 343 of the National Transport University Academic Council of 24.06.2011 with the purpose of improving the educational process organization, the rational use of the university material base and the distribution of pedagogical workload on the basis of the Department of Transport Technologies. As a result, two departments were established: “Transport Technologies” and “International Transportation and Customs Control”. The Head at the Department of International Transportation and Customs Control is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Prokudin Heorhii Semenovych.
The Department staff consists of nineteen regular lecturers, including three professors, nine associate professors, four senior lecturers and two assistant lecturers.
