Lyudmyla Stepanivna Kozak — the Head of the Department of Economics, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Transport Academy of Ukraine, “Excellence in Education of Ukraine” award, the Certificates of Merit by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and by the mayor of Kyiv, “For Labour Merit”, “The 1500-th Anniversary of Kyiv foundation” medals holder, “Petro Mohyla” honored breastplate of MES of Ukraine.

The Department of Economics was founded in 2005 in the process of reorganization of the Department of Economics and Informatics. In 2013, the branch of the Department of Economics of National Transport University was established on the basis of PJSC KVN “RAPID” (RAPID PRODUCTION COMPANY, JSC), functioning of which is aimed at strengthening the relations of science with production, improving the efficiency of practical training of students. The Department has formed a highly qualified academic staff of 26 lecturers, including 7 professors, 13 associate professors, and 6 senior lecturers.

The Academic Staff Training. The department’s postgraduate program provides training for applicants at the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the specialty 051 “Economics”.
